GERRIT RIETVELD ACADEMIE GRAPHIC DESIGN DEPARTMENT

Thursday January 25 th there will be a punk rock night at the Winston Kingdom organized by Radio Rietveld’s one and only punk hardcore show Nee Niet Niels Maar Maarten. Bands playing will be Rene SG (speedartrock), The Failures (hardcore punk) and The Unpredictable (skatepunk). There will be an afterparty with DJ’s Roos, Niels & Maarten.
Entrance fee is only 5 euro.
The doors will open at 20.00 hrs, the first band starts at 21.00 hrs.

I want to ask for some volunteers to help us paint the studiowalls for the open day.
On thursday (preferably in the morning).
Then it will be dry in the afternoon so we can install things there.

Traditional Rietveld open dag exhibition is going to place in the Rietveld Building on 26th Jan. We, as graphic design department will be repeating our “The Total Library Exhibition” for the visitors in the studio place of our department.

Nature wanted to recreate him in another form
We lost one of our tree behind the Rietveld building just next to the river today. Everybody who has memories under his shadow will remember him nicely. I couldn’t count his age because it had been out from his roots, but I guess he had lived there for some generations of Rietveld and will be continuing his life with his spirit around.
