Grip is a video clip for the band zZz. Grip is a one take, top shot videoclip with professional trampoline gymnasts simulating typical video clip special effects. The video has been recorded live as part of the opening ‘Nederclips’ at the Stedelijk museum ‘S-Hertogenbosch SM’S.

“My project was about language as humans most precious good to express yourself, the way we speak is the waay others perceive us and thus our way we are perceived by others forms our identity. so far so known, but i myself/we are living i pretty multilinguistic life, so do others and as its a contemporary trend. this cultural innterchange is for me a positive effect of globalisation. But even though english as a modern lingua franca helps us a lot to communicate and I think we manage quite well, but nevertheless its for the biggest part of us not our mother language, so this subject was my starting point: what happens to the message we want to communicate, is information getting lost or to any extent enriched? does the other person which is next in the chinese whispering translation chain what i want to say? how does the information change? slowly quick? how is our own language, the way we use it, affected? and so on ….”

“My ID project deals with the idea of serendipity.
Serendipity means the occurence and developement of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. It is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else. In my lecture I created a so called serendipity pattern, builded around the name of Wijsmuller.”

Quick Rietveld Promotion Poster Machine
Workshop on Tuesday 6th of February 2007 at the Rietveld Academie in Interaction Design course by Roel Wouters and Luna Maurer. Rietveld students from Amsterdam and Beckmans students from Stockholm create together 13 posters according to a set of instructions.
Set of Instructions
– Form a group of 3 people consisting of 2 Rietveld students and 1 Swedish student.
– Form a group of 3 people consisting of 2 Rietveld students and 1 Swedish student.
– Give your group a name.
– Create an A1 sized document in your favorite design App.
– Make a portrait in school that could carry the name of your group, place it together with the name on the poster.
– Capture a colour in school – use the colour as a mark on the poster.
– Capture a sentence in school referring to a big group of people
and attach it to the colour mark.
– Position the letters L O V E to the poster so it connects the portrait with the colour mark.
– Don’t use more than 60 minutes.
Mail the poster as a pdf not bigger than 1 MB till 12 o’clock to Roel & Luna.
